Rented car a hundred times, never burnt like i have been by this company.
Did not see the fine print they only allowed 160 miles on a 4 day rental.
Now what should have been a 120.00rental at all the other car counters, turned into 400.00.
They got me, and they never will again, as well i going to post this same review anywhere and ever-were.

Run from there counter, don't drive!.
I had to cancel my trip to California because they were shutting down again for Covid 19. I got total refund from Air Line and hotels but not Sixt. I had a car rented for 7 days but they still made me pay for 3 days with a cost of $100. I sent in a request for total refund because of the epidemic but they kept sending generic responses to my emails. I will not use this company again. They are benefitting from this. Shame on you guys

I wish l could give them -100 stars because one star is too good for them. I will never rent a vehicle with Sixt ever! I had car trouble on my way to Atlanta, in one of their vehicles. The vehicle was shaking, so we were driving at low speeds because we did not feel safe. I call Sixt Indianapolis Airport where l had rented the car and Rochelle said she could not help me and l needed to call customer service. Customer service said that was fine l could go and exchange a vehicle at another Sixt once l got to Atlanta. Easy right, NO, Sixt Indianapolis then called me threatening to charge me a drop off fee of $900 if l did not return the car to Indianapolis. I told them the customer service they had told me to call was glad to change the vehicle and ensure our safety. Sheila/Alice/Stella whatever her name was then told me that Sixt is franchised meaning they operate as individual companies versus a national company. Therefore that car was owned by the Indianapolis Airport Sixt and needed to return there because they would have to find someone to go to Atlanta to pick it up. I asked her why then l was told to call customer service and that so l was required to drive an unsafe car back to Indy, she said yes. She added her boss had drove the car before and it was fine, okay? So what does that have to do with our current problem? IF SIXT IS NOT ONE COMPANY AND THEY ARE ALL DIFFERENT FRANCHISES THEN WHY NOT HAVE DIFFERENT NAMES. This was my first time renting with Sixt and DEFINATELY! THE LAST. They taught me a hard lesson JUST STICK TO REPUTABLE car rental places like Budget, Avis, National, Hertz, Enterprise that have been in business forever, they have realized that customer service is important to grow a business a concept Sixt has obviously not mastered. I guess that explains why when l picked up the car, Sixt counter was empty with one or two people yet they were long lines by Avis and Budget. I guess those people learnt a lesson as well before me! AND I REPEAT NEVER! AGAIN! And did l mention they called me twice a day before my rental to find out if l was coming to pick up my PREPAID car! Ridiculous...
I head very high opinion about Sixt.

Costumer service was terrible I found out there was blocking for 30 euro un paid reservation??????????.
Can i pay and move forward No call costumer servis 2 hours up and down and a lost costumer for 30 euro.

Never booking with this company again. I had a prior reservation that I had to cancel due to a canceled trip since I caught COVID. I understand that based on the fact that I already prepaid I would not be issued a refund and I thought that was fair. However, I was informed that the credit could have been applied to a future reservation and have it in writing. When I go to book my reservation for my next trip no matter what I did it was impossible to get a hold of actual customer service and instead just continued to go through automated prompts where ever single one ended with them hanging at the end of the call. Complete opposite of enterprise, whose rentals I know generally cost more but to me I think that the extra $10 - $20 is ultimately worth it for better customer service in the future.
The fine print indicates you pre pay for rental, whether you use it or not. Also, they double charges on you if you cancel anytime after booking reservation made. There is zero grace period. I reserved a car and about six hours later tried to cancel it and found out all of this crap. This is shady as hell. They consider rentals a "good" and not service. Not good. Stay away. Cancel card you used to make reservation and get new one issued. Don't trust this site.
Never again, nor should you, rent from these people. They rented me a car that had undercarriage damage and had me pay for those damages. I repeat, never again will I nor should you rent from these people.
I tried this company again after 6 years, previous I had a bad experience. The new branch near my place seems appealing and I paid my price.
I paid extra coverage for fewer hassles. Now they are sending an outrageously high amount bill for a small scratch. They claim my insurance does not count because I did not report within 12 hours. The terms and conditions are in small font so they can take advantage of it. Really nice play.
The pickup and drop-off locations are at out of use, closed hotel underground garage. No staff was on site for the drop-off, now it seems it is all set up for such a scenario. Please go to another well-organized place for car hire, if you do not have the option, buy the insurance from rentalcars website where there is no dirty play.
This company will not refund your booking if your trip is cancelled due to Covid travel restrictions. They will only refund you if you paid the higher pay at the counter price. This is a VERY poor customer service model!
They were the only company that had any vehicles for rent, so I was forced to use them at the airport. I will not use them again. I've now been mailed a damage/accident letter, which makes no sense. I returned the car in the same condition it was in when I took it out of the lot 2. Are they not supposed to inform you of damage when you return the vehicle if they find it? I don't understand why I am receiving a letter 3 week later stating the vehicle had damage.
Please Sixt workers are highly racist wouldn't recommend to any minorities to use this hire service. Me and my mom went to pick up the vehicle the lady she didnt like the fact how we looked and told us that they no confirmation and the vicheal is not available when I have an email of proof its available as soon I left the place I get an email of confirmation of cancelled totally racist company.
Do not support a company that price gouges like this. I rented a car for 7 days and it cost me more than $1500 for a little Kia Rio! They were the only company online that had cars left when booking a week in advance in San Juan ( I should have booked sooner, that is my fault for not knowing) but to charge ~7x what the normal cost would be is crazy and should not be allowed. I had many things I couldn't do during my vacation because I had to spend so much on a car. Choose another company.
I originally booked for Christmas. The government cancelled that. I rebooked for Easter super quick and easy. Plans fell through again and so I rebooked for June super easy again. It's been so easy to work with them.
I did what the majority of people do. Went to a rental car website and chose what i wanted. When the confirmation came back one day sooner than i will arrive, and i simply wanted to inform them so i can be sure the car will be there. I would still pay for it, i just want to know it will be there so i can get to my destination on time. I have spent 6 hours trying in anyway to do this to no avail. Their automated phone keeps me on for multiple questions and when i finally get there, it simply hangs up. Three days now. Finally got to my spot to modify the date and the price surges. I just want to pick it up a day later to know its there. Sixth absolutely stinks... run as far away as you can...

Don't have one! Success story doesn't exist. The only success was on their end screwing me out of $300... duh

No cars available in Vegas. It's crazy. My dad wanted to go but no cars. Learn a lesson, only go to reputable rental agencies
